1.       Four Corner Opposition / Foils / Mirrors How this relates to character VOICE.  “Squares all the way down:” the opposition does not only apply to the story as a whole, but to each chapter / scene within the story. Every scene should have conflict and bring out conflict. PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN / ERIN BORCKOVITCH / FINDING NEMO

2.       Man vs God, vs Man, and vs Himself. 

3.       Example of scene with conflict, and scene without. (Man in pain, getting pills from a jar.)

4.       Every scene: what's the conflict, is this the most interesting thing you could show me, if not: why? No obstacles = no conflict = no drama

5.       Altering minor details to create CONFLICT. Characters you like HAVE to do bad things, and characters you dislike HAVE to do good things. There’s always conflict, always 4 corner opposition, even when only one character in a scene (use Xander at computer example).
